Labor Day Weekend

This was the first time in a long time (except for our vacations) that we had three days off straight as a family. That is all thanks to daddy's new job because he gets weekends and holidays off now!
We started our weekend off by heading to the cabin. I had never been to the cabin before, so there was lots to explore. Of course, I loved seeing the birdies! There weren't that many out because my great-grandpa said they are preparing for winter already, but there were quite a few hummingbirds and lots of blue jays to keep me occupied. I liked playing with the birdie-seed too!

At the cabin there is a little lake. Mommy & Daddy took me for a walk around it. We even saw a bunch of geese that were living there.

I was very excited to discover a great park that is near the cabin too. I enjoyed the swings...

...and so did Mommy!
And, we never skip a slide!

We had a great three day weekend! Hope you did too!

Daddy's Helper

I love to sweep! Hand me a broom and I will get busy! It was time to do yard work this weekend, so I grabbed a broom and helped my daddy out!

New Friend

This orange kitty keeps coming to our house and bothering my kitty through

the screen door. We don't know who he belongs to, but he is very friendly. Mommy let me pet him for a few minutes and I loved chasing him around.

Last Day of Summer Vacation

Mommy has to go back to work tomorrow :( Actually, she had a meeting already today. But this is what she let me do this afternoon. She usually cleans up little messes all day long so it doesn't get too messy. But, today she let me get ALL of my toys out at the same time and spread them ALL over the room! It was fun making a mess! But then, she cleaned it up. If you know my mom very well then you know that she was excited for me to go to bed so this mess could be cleaned up and order could be back in the house :)

Monterey

We went to Monterey for a couple of days to give Mommy one more chance to relax before she goes back to work and before Daddy starts his new job (more info later for those of you who don't already know).I got to go to the beach twice in one summer. So cool!

Daddy always finds a cool, artistic way to show you the fun we have on our outings. Here it is!

Dennis the Menace Park in Monterey

Everywhere we go, Mommy & Daddy always seem to find great parks to play at. We found Dennis the Menace Park in Monterey. It is huge and has fun things to do for kids of all ages.
Here I am going down the big slide with Daddy.
Then we walked across this neat bridge. The bigger kids got to run across it. It is pretty fun when they do that because everyone on the bridge bounces up and down.

I like going down the slides with Mommy & Daddy, but we found some that were just my size.
Here we are at the top of this "carousel." It is really just a bunch of stairs that you can run up and down on.

And, I loved that bridge, so we went on it several times.

And, of course, my favorite... the swings!

Monterey Bay Aquarium

While we were in Monterey, Mommy & Daddy took me to the aquarium for the first time. I loved looking at all the fishies.

We also got to see some snorkelers in the water. That was pretty fascinating to me.
And, there we saw many of my favorite animals: birdies. Here I am saying "birdie" and pointing them out to Mom & Dad.
Mommy was a good sport and climbed into this little hole with me to get a good view of some little fishies.

Outside!

I LOVE to go outside! Mommy and I play out there for hours each day and when Daddy gets home, I grab his little finger and pull him out there too! One thing I am really good about is when Mommy or Daddy says I have to get my "shoe shoes" on before I can go outside. I go look for them and then sit and wait patiently until they are put on. Then I run for the door.

I really enjoy being pulled around in my car or on my trike. Here are some other fun things to do outside. I like to walk around the garden and look at the flowers...

...point out the birdies...
...and smell the flowers.

Summer is so fun!
