Bean Counter

My Nana came up with the idea of letting me play with beans. Well let me tell you, it is a big hit! I love to scoop them up and transfer them from one "container" to another. Mommy lets me fill eggs up with beans and shake them. They make a great musical instrument. Thanks to Nana for thinking of this great idea that keeps me busy for a long time!

Fun with Alex

Instead of me going to Alex's house, we got to have Alex for the evening while the rest of his family went to the Modesto Junior Miss Pageant. Anyway, that meant lots of fun for me because Alex makes me a little wild.

Here is Alex saying "Hi" to us while crawling through the tunnels at Funworks.
I learned to push different shaped blocks through the holes.

Alex is a fun guy to be around. As I said before, he makes me a little wild! We have a lot of fun together!

Monterey Weekend

Mommy & Daddy decided that we needed to get away for the weekend, so we packed up and went to Monterey. The sun was out a little on Friday and Saturday morning, but then it started raining and it just didn't stop. We didn't let that stop us though.

Here we are when we first got to the condo. This is the third time I had been to the condo but I am still amazed by the ocean waves every time I see them.
I had lots of fun going up and down the stairs to and from the "wawa."
Here is how I take a nap at the condo. Daddy took his girls out for dinner on Valentines Day. We went to a mexican place with a great view of the ocean and the birdies. Mommy & Daddy watched a sea otter play while they ate their dinner. He was too far out for me to really see though.
And, here is what happens when I have too much fun in Monterey... I take a good, long snooze on the way home :)
See posts below for more of our Monterey fun!

Monterey Bay Aquarium

The best thing to do in Monterey when it is raining is go to the aquarium. Last time
it was really crowded and I was a lot littler so I was a little more reserved. This time I wasn't so timid and I ran around squealing "fishies" with delight. Everything there was a "fishie" to me, even if it really wasn't.

There were lots of birdies there too, which, as you know, I also love.

This time I stood under the wave glass with Daddy and I didn't cry.
I did try to hide in his neck though.
They have this new area called the "Splash Zone." It has lots of stuff for little kids to do. I really loved this fish tank with lots of colorful fish.
They have all of these interactive learning displays too. Here I am with Daddy learning how the penguins talk to each other.

And, we got to see them feeding the penguins. So neat! We tried and tried to pose in this clam shell, but I was just too distracted by all of the other fun stuff to do.
Can you believe that there is even a little playground and slide in the aquarium now?!?!?
Our last stop was the otters. They have sea otters and river otters there too. The river otters are fun to watch because they chase each other all over their home.

Play-doh

I've gotten to play with Playdoh a little bit before, but Mommy thought it might be a good inside thing for us to do this weekend while it was raining. She bought some fun toys to go with my playdoh and boy, did we ever keep ourselves busy.

Meeting Emma and Ava

Tonight we had a birthday party for my Great Grandpa Coyle in the convalescent hospital where he is getting rehab from his hip replacement surgery. We had pie and told him Happy Birthday! The best part was that I got to meet my new baby cousins.

I kept saying "baby" and pointing out their eyes, ears, mouth, nose, toes, etc. but I was more fascinated by the fishies in the fish tank.
Everyone else seemed to think the babies were better to look at than the fishies.

It's All About Fun...

...at Funworks! Even if you aren't even 2 yet :)
Mommy & Daddy wanted to find me something fun to do this weekend since we haven't gotten out of the house much because of the cold weather we have been having. So we decided to try Funworks. Mommy had been there a few time for birthday parties during her baby-sitting days, and she thought we might find something that I would like there. She was really right! There is a place inside called PlayZone and for only $1 per year old you can play for as long as you'd like. That means I got about an hours worth of fun for only $1. Can you believe that? My favorite thing was the ball pit. We must have spent about 80% of our time there. Mommy even got in there with me and made it so much more fun.
As you can see from the pictures that follow, I really had a blast!!!

We know it has been a long time since we posted anything new, but you haven't missed anything too exciting. We are going to try to go to Monterey for the weekend (both Mommy & Daddy have a few extra days of for President's) as long as it isn't too rainy, so we will surely have lots to share after that!

Word List

Since Mommy can't keep up with all of the new words that I say, we are probably done updating the word list. I am starting to copy almost everything anyone says and say at least a couple of new words each day. It is just too much for my mom. So, bye bye word list!
